Problem Solving

It All Comes Down to Problems and How We Solve Them, Doesn’t It?

The good times are great, but the bad times overshadow everything.  Because we’re all human, we cook up great ways to avoid dealing with our problems.  We sweep them under the rug, or stuff them down inside our hearts, or we pretend they just don’t exist.  Sometimes it’s perfectly clear that we’re like a bug caught in a spiderweb – the more we try and solve our situation, the worse it gets, so we do nothing.

But the price for that is always the same: the problems come out in other ways. Perhaps we get sick, or we become self-destructive, or we act out anger inappropriately.

What’s needed here is a time-out. A pause in the conflict.  Some room to breathe.

If you need someone to talk to who is not invested in the fight -

If you need someone to talk to who has no agenda beyond finding the best solution for everyone involved -

If you need someone to talk to – I am here.

There was a large part of my life that was steeped in conflict. Much of it was the compounding effect of my trying to ignore the reality of a situation.  Like the many times I made excuses for people who expected me to cover for them.  At the time I thought I was trapped into this behavior, never noticing that my actions were taking a bad situation and not making it better, but making it worse.

Then there’s the ongoing type of problem – bills that keep on coming even though you thought you just paid them.  This was a particularly rough subject for me in the past, because I let the fear surrounding how to pay the bills eat my insides up.

There’s the disaster that comes out of nowhere – a sudden illness or death or the loss of a job, for instance.  Sometimes these very situations reveal problems that had been ignored or buried, and the resulting explosions of anger and sadness seem out of proportion to the event, yet also overshadow it all.

And last but not least, there’s our ongoing struggle to be our authentic selves.  The pain of showing who we really are to the world.

And yet, we must deal with it all somehow.

The View from Above

I am a firm believer in breaking big problems up into smaller, more manageable pieces. I have great respect for the recognition of what can be changed and what can’t – and what to do about it.

And I’ve come out of my own very large pit of despair stronger, and with a sure vision of the quickest way to return everyone involved to a peaceful place.

I am here for you, if you really want to solve the crisis.  We will address your situation and you will receive tools for the future situations you may find yourself in.

I bring real world experience to the table - including nuts and bolts information such as creating a budget and understanding time management.

This session may or may not incorporate a look at the Tarot – that is up to you.

We’ll speak on the phone for an hour and a half, and you’ll receive a recording of our conversation.
