If you’ve been joining me on Twitter lately, then you know that something has changed drastically for me. I’ve been using intuitive GPS to help people in trouble for 25 years, now. My primary tool is the tarot – but recently that has changed.
One of my clients told me that since my reading style is so unorthodox, that I could probably read blank cards. So I asked another friend who designs tarot decks where I could find such a tool, and she pointed the way.
My blank tarot cards arrived last week. I sent out an email to a very short list of friends and family to see if anyone was game to let me try reading for them. There were many excited takers.
I read first for the woman who gave me the idea. The reading was a little fragmented, but I did get the puzzle pieces, just not in the correct order. By the second reading (for one of my students), I figured it out, and since then, I’ve never looked back.
Reading blank cards is, perhaps, a natural progression for me. I’ve been reading the tarot for a long time, now – but I was feeling hemmed in. It’s quite the thrill to have no boundaries for reading. It’s also more of a challenge for me to get into the zone and get the story without any pictures.
But most of all, it’s astonishing to me that it can be done. But really, why not? People can read using a crystal ball – and there’s nothing obvious to see there. Each time a reader uses one, it’s the same clear, crystal sphere as it was the last time it was used.
I’m slowly coming to the conclusion that I don’t even need the blank tarot deck to do a reading, but I also know that I have a lot more to learn in using it.
So, I’m switching decks. I’ve used the Mythic Tarot for at least 20 years – now it’s time to put it aside. I’m choosing a new trail through my internal wilderness, and I’m eager to see where it takes me.
